Default Injector question

Can I use 02 and up injectors on my 99 4.8 without splicing wires together? basically looking for a bigger injector that will plug right in

I think the injectors just plug right in, I've got a set of 02 injectors, but I haven't put them in yet because I haven't found an 02 pcm yet. I've got a 99 5.3L

You can use any injectors from a 00 and up 4.8, 5.3, 6.0. They are all plug and play, and they are all 26#/hr injector, where your 99's are 19 #/hr. Your will have to have your computer programed for them, or you will run WAY rich. You can find them used in the for sale section all the time for pretty cheep ($50-$100). But you won't find any gains with them unless you have mods that are maxing out your fuel system.

Yep, they'll plug right in but it will run rich if you don't have your PCM repogrammed to accomodate them. The 99 injectors duty cycle more since they flow less. (the numbers that I've seen are 21.7 lb/hr for 99's and 24 lb/hr for 00-02...not sure about 03 and up)

24.7lb/hr.

I snatched some 8.1 shooters off eBay a few months back. New units for $80 bucks. Guy had a shitload of them.
