OK ... I got everything back together, but there is a small problem now. The altenator pulley is smoking when the engine is running. I'm gonna let the belt dry off some, then see what happens.

No change after getting new gaskets on there.

I'm going back to the injector theory. I have completely eliminated a vacuum leak.

I used EFILive to turn off one injector at a time, but that didn't tell me anything. It just made it worse with each injector. I think it is a few injectors that are dirty or clogged one. This is what Allen suggested, and that's the only thing I can think of that I haven't ruled out yet.

Fuel pressure is good BTW. ~52psi at idle, rises if I pull the vacuum thing off. Stays strong up top too, about 63psi I think. It doesn't drop either.

I thought at idle with the vaccume disconnected it was supposed to be around 58psi. Are you reading that with the vaccume line connected or disconnected? If it is reading 58psi with it connected, I would think that that is way too much fuel pressure, hence you would be running very rich.

You are right. I looked at it again tonight, it sits at about 52psi at idle.

I will edit the initial post.

Very high positive ltrims are a sign of a dirty injector, i can see scaling them down a tad to get your neg. ltrims, but not when they are at 20+.
A weak pump is also a sign, but your pressure is fine.

There's a place in SA that will flow and clean your injectors, let me know if you need the number,

allen

I've been talking to some folks about the injectors. He, and the ones he talked to, both still thought it was a vacuum leak. I pulled the blower just to rule that our as well. I had wanted to do that a while back when the problem first started becoming a problem, but never got around to it. Now .... I can positively rule out a vacuum leak. I hope now, that I won't have to get them flow tested and cleaned. Maybe I can just get them replaced!

*remember what I told you I was gonna try??*

But .. if that falls through, I'll be calling!

BTW ... did you forget to take it out of 1st? If that truck wouldn't have been in the way and I hadn't have spun it might have been close.

Let me get this straight, you two goons were racing each other while you have a fueling problem on a forced induction setup? Sounds like a good idea to me.

How long have you had this "injector" problem? Has it been there since the radix install? Was it there during the SBSO?

If you really think its an injector issue, I'd try to get your personal sponsor "project R" to get them back to Magna as a warrranty item.

LOL, hell ya we were.

His truck is fine at wot, high trims are usually a sign of a weak pump, false air or dirty injectors. Kind of an interesting problem. There are other possibilities but since the injectors sat a while, that's my first thought.

BTW, run what ya brung, no excuses hahaha, I'll give you another chance Flyer, did I mention my bottle was on, hahahah, and I might have accidently hit the go button

Flyer - Have you taken some carb cleaner aerosol spray and checked for leaks around any other fitting? I know you had the Radix off, just curious. Are the trims higher at idle, then go back down to a reasonable range with more load?

Allen - Too bad you had to go off to work when I was getting my shift kit installed at Joes a few weeks back. I'm pretty sure my bottle was warm that day.
