Tokez: Wicket Mike hooked me up with the servos, he's out in Ontario.

03Screamer: I'm thinking of going back to the original 3.73s I had because I get absolutely NO traction from a dead stop. It's cool to show off with, but not cool when I wanna run someone at a stoplight. I wish I could drive a truck with the Yank 3000 because that is supposed to retain stock drivability right? I've only had it a day and yes I'm loving it, but then again I can see how some guys were saying it gets annoying/you lose driveability because as I described in the first post, it feels like you're givin it gas but it's not moving.

Shark: I get NO traction when I just stomp it from a dead stop, when I brake stall? HAH....oh man....I peel out forever.

Chingon .. if it's like the Yank, it will tighten up a little bit and not feel as sloppy after you get some miles on it.

That falling on it's face on the 2-3 shift is TQM at it's best. I can feel mine hold timing out for a little bit after the shift at part throttle. That is really annoying. My dad rode with me one time and he thought I gave it more gas about a second and a half after the shift, when asll it was is the timing coming back on.

Once I get EDIT .......

That stall and shift kit are fuckn sick

Im not sure about the sound its makn because I was too busy wetting myself over how sick the truck felt. I think it sounded like it was coming from under the truck but it did sound just like a belt slipping.

With more power that stall is gonna be really nice. The shift kit is stiff, I think I personally will go with no washers but the time between shifts is really nice and quick. I dont think it droped under 4k rpm when shifting.

Do you guyz think that 3200 stall and 410 gear combo is a good one? I know it feels really nice.

I was thinking about going with a 3800 stall and leaving the stock 342 (posi ofcourse) ... would that give me good takeoff and still the higher gearing for more highend. And Im not concerned with towing or "driveabilily"... im more concerned with performance and neck jerking.

Damn that suxs how traction is so bad far you. I know what you're talking about with the converter slipping so much. It's kinda of like a manual transmission with a bad slipping clutch. I drove my friends 69' Camaro RS with a 383 stroker, 3.55's and 3600 or 3800 stall TC. It was pretty weird when I was putting around town. For example, I'm at 5mph and increasing speed a little, the rpm's are at around 2200 or so just to get moving ever so slightly. I could see how this could get annoying in a daily driver.

Yeah, the belt noise can be pretty loud but, I don't think it's anything to worry about. If you're worried just check the belt every oil change for any obvious signs of wear. You could keep a 15mm wrench and new belt in the truck if you get to paranoid.

That Vig3200 is more like the Yank ST3800 that I used to have in my old car. Does it hold about 4800-5000rpm on the upshift?

PS - I ran two washers with my Transgo and the shifts were like butter. I didn't have any extra upgraded parts in the trans though. It actually felt like one long gear that just kept pulling and pulling and pulling and pulling....well you understand.

When I shift from 1 to 2nd gear, it stays above 4000RPMs...Lemme double check that right now...brb...

I forgot that converter is behind a 4.8L, probably only hold 4200-4400rpm on the shifts.
