Gonna play around some more at the Tues. test-n-tune night. I'm installing my posi on Manday, so hopefully I'll be able to get some real times, instead of the one wheel peel!

Thanks.

Sure its needed! However, the proof for me is in the pudding. Everyone spends huge amounts of time looking at IAT's when in reality they are fine. Have you ever seen the IAT's on a non intercooled Vortech? Can you say fire breathing dragon There are allot more things that will increase HP than a few degrees in intake temps, I am not saying it does not help......I am simply saying there are better places to look for bigger gains.

I ran my truck 11 times in one night, sometimes back to back to back. I never even looked at data.

I'm running the smalest pulley I could find. On a hot day last week, I gave a guy from work a little demo ride. I happened to be logging it. I hit a couple of spirited bursts and 4 wheels burnouts, then ran it up to 100 mph.

Black truck on a 103* Texas afternoon.
IATs started out in the 130s* from baking under the sun.
After playing a little, they were in the mid 140s to 150*.
After the 100mph run, IATs went from 150 to 194*.
I only saw 1.2* of KR as I shifted into 3rd, but I was also at 117% injector duty cycle.
At my shifts, I think I'm spinning the blower near 18000 rpms.

Normally, My IATs are 35* above outside temps. I do have a sealed up ram air source, so its not ingesting much under hood heat.

That sounds like a worst case. Those are the type of temps that a 7-8 lb non I/C blower would see on a 70-80 deg day. I agree with thh 35 above outside temps because mine are at 105 on a 70 deg day.

6350, but it pulls great to my 6500 rev limiter.

Yes, that is worse cae. Its well past the blowers efficient range and on a high compression motor. Given that its not detonating on pump gas under those conditions, that says something.

I went down this road trying to figure out a direct port nitrous set up for the radix awhile back. I saw the same injectors your talking about but it looked very difficult to fit them in. I ended up talking to Dave at the Nitrous Outlet. His suggestion was something like the setups he does for the Cobra's and Lightnings.

I sent him some interal pics of the Radix and he seemed to think it was very doalbe but would need the intake in front of him to be sure. I didn't do it because I'm very money limited but I sure would like to see someone let Dave give it a try.
