Default I6 track results

I own a 2002 chevy trailblazer 4x4 with the I6. I went to San Antonio Raceway last night and got some realy good results. I did take out the passenger side headlight and grill for ram air. All runs were done in 4awd and launched at 2400-2600rpm The first run i got 16.2 at 88 mph. Then i got a 16.1 at 88.xx. Im not sure if something is wrong with my 4awd but it was engaging late (usually it sense the rear slip a lil then engage the front, maybe its just mine). I then lowerd the tire pressure to 22psi in the rear. Next Pass was 15.93 @88, then a 15.84@88, then a 15.79@89. My 60fts were from 2.4 to 2.3. My tb weight was 4725lbs. Im pretty satisfied with my times for the mods i have, which are dual intake, with a custom exhaust(bullet muffler dumped at the rear axle). Went from a 16.9 stock to a 15.79 with 2 mods, now only if there are any more mods avaible. Any feedback would be appreciate.

You can build your own turbo kit and use the Megasquirt2 to tune your fuel, timing, boost, and all kinds of other things. Oh, and the Megasquirt is free other than the parts you need to build it yourself.

Chevy did an SS concept I6 with dual stage turbos that pulled 400rwhp, so it can be done.

Im aware that Chevy did the SS concept, but the parts they used are not available, i.e. internal parts, exhaust parts. The Megasquirt2 will not work for the I6. That is why whipple backed out on there supercharger, because they could not tune the I6 ecu correctly and dumped there whole plan.

Yeah up top is killer, I raced a SS at the track. It got me outa the hole, but after the 1/8 i started pullin. He only ran 15.2. With intake ud probly break into the 15's if you pop off the passenger side headlight to get ram air, but the exhaust and headers are wats most restrictive on the I6. If you ever take a look under the truck ull see a about a 3 to 4 foot muffler, and then after that ull see that 2ft long fart can resonator. The headers are the most restrictive off of a stock gm vehicle i have ever saw, i guess to get the noise down they made everything the way it is.

The Megasquirt WILL work with a trailblazer. It Will work with ANY computer controled vehicle because it doesnt try to change your computer, it changes the signals recieved and sent by it. It also controls timing as well. And the Megasquirt2 will control much much more. The reason it was developed was to tune vehicles with untunable PCM's. Look into it and read up on it. I'm working on one for my Blazer since there isnt a way to tune it properly for the turbo and tons of boost.

There is an article in the Jan 05 Hot Rod Mag talking about the I6. The guy made some crazy mods and got something like 540 hp out of it. But it is not a daily driver. Hell I think it even had 3 carbs on it. So like I said not a daily driver but maybe worth the read. You might pull some ideas from there.
