Default i think i have a cam for the 408

as i have stated i plan a 408 and i am planning on going with forged rotating assembly, dart 225cc heads, 11:1 comp., cammotion custom 231/236 .591/.600 114 lsa, and use a stock truck intake, and up to a 300 hit of nitrous. now how do you guys think this motor will perform down low and any guesses on numbers i could see out of this setup on and off the bottle? and anyone use cammotion cams do they match up to the specs you give for were you want power to start and what stall you have and so on. also will crane 832s or the springs on the dart heads be ok with this cam?

Heads on the DART springs if they are the same ones as the LS1 heads then the springs are good for .615 lift I beleive so they are good. The cam you have chosen will give oyu more down low torque than the cam that Im going with how much I cant honestly tell you. As far aspower goes Im hoping for 500 at the wheels and ur setup is basically a clone of what Im going with. Which DART heads are you going with?

225 ones i went to cammotions sight put in what i wanted to run as far as parts and told them i had a 1700 stall and wanted the power to start at 1500 and shift around 6300 so i hope that cam is specd for those numbers

225 doesnt tell me anything except the intake runner size Im guessing thats what it stands for. Are you running the LS1 heads I dont know if they make another head for the LSX series engines or not. That cam sounds about right cause you can get away with alot bigger cam with all the cubes.

We are going to have the same setup then except Im going with the 205s to give me more torque down low but allow me to go with a bigger cam for up top performance. Im goign with a 3400 stall though so I can really come out of the hole hard. The main thing with nitrous IMO is the torque you gain its awesome man. Im thinkin Im goin to have 500 to the wheels then a 200 shot on top of that I want my engine to last. When you start spraying 250-300 shots you start flattening out main bearings and thats BAD as Im sure you know.
