The best way to tell will be with a dyno run. The cam should be audible at idle, and it should pull all the way to redline, getting faster until 6-6200. Stock starts to die off like 5k IIRC

Stock cam falls flat on its face at 5200 RPM.

The cam you mentioned should be barely noticeable at idle but should pull to 6k.

I (for sure) have the the 212/218 .550 on 112LSA, and my truck used to have the 6.2 OE muffler 3.5"IN 3.375"OUT, and it was noticeable. Now I have a Magnaflow 12909 in her, and its mellowed out the pulses and calmed the "booming" that used to occur at idle. I can still hear the cam, over a stock truck. But to quantify the difference, you would really have to have a stock truck there to listen to

Take note, my set up is the same, but a little different. My 112LSA will be choppier at idle (vs your 114), I have long tubes, full 3.5" exhaust, off-road Y

Edit: If the truck hasnt been tuned, get that done ASAP

It is tuned from what the guy said who worked on truck which was a friend of a friend it rides nice for a supposed rebuild had a lot of issues getting truck back and to run correctly as far as oil pressure, pcv was the old one so it was smoking horrible and well now its running better still get a tick or knock at startup when cold. After that no more tik and or knock oil pressure after getting pump shimmed sits around 40 good take off it goes up to round 60 and after a couple hours driving goes down to 25-30 with ac on. I think i got scammed but heres a link of how it sounds everything besides cam should be stock with dod delete

Doesn't sound stock for one of those. If he left the original cam in the truck it would be misfiring because of the stock afm cam. Pretty sure you didn't get scammed and why you keep saying that is interesting....

Scams happen, he listed some of the problem he had with a rebuilt engine. So while we may argue about the definition of a scam, if his post is truthful (I have no reason to believe its not) then he didnt get a drop in ready motor. And he was probably promised a drop in ready motor; aka scammed

Meanwhile, why do you say it would misfire at idle with the AFM cam? My AFM G8 didnt misfire at idle, so why would the 5.3?
