Phil = Finish Line Performance (Chuck's old gig), Chuck = Finish Line Transmissions (new shop). They are still friendly, but you'll want to speak directly to Chuck I think.

BTW, I'm using an L5 FLT 65E...

Looks like I called his old shop. I'll try him again tomorrow.

Erik- Is that tranny holding up to your power levels, and for how long? I'm making around 400 to the tires in a 2wd ECSB and I have been told it is only going to last a year or less the way I drive/tow.

Looks like the difference between the L5 rebuild and the rebuild I'm having done is:

1. Shafts are not cryo'd, just hardened.
2. Not sure if the 5-pinions are made here or abroad.

Guess time will tell.

one other "posiable" diference. chuck will stand behind his tranny where many others will try and blame something or someone else.

The VHO has a 9.5" ring gear? Hmm. And this axle comes 6-lug? Pretty strong? If so, I think I may have found my next rear....

I totally agree 4wd has to seperate that strain that would once be on a 2wd to the front axles.

I guess I have another alternative to a full-floating, HP/TQ sapping rear when/if mine goes. Very cool....
