i have finally got my wiring harness for my walbro inline pump today, at first the pump didn't want to turn on, i double checked everything and it started working.... i can hear the pump turn on when i turn the ignition, the truck will start after the second crank of the ignition slugish like. i checked the fuel pressure and it sits just below 40 psi with a little throttle it will climb just above 40 psi the truck will sit and idle and the pressure will drop to about 35 psi. So would this be because my stock intank fuel pump isn't feeding enough pressure to the inline pump? where should i go next with this? also before the inline pump my fuel pressure would sit at between 27-30 psi so there has been so improvement with the inline pump...

Simple system. Pump, relief valve (FPR) and filter. Your fuel pressure is to low. Don't think of the pump feeding "pressure". It feeds volume/flow of fuel. Pressure is resistance to flow and regulated with the FPR. Since your pressure climbed a little with the new pump I would say the intank pump or the filters.

i changed my FPR and what would you know, almost 60 psi of fuel pressure. it made me damn near **** myself watching the pressure gauge. Ive got to thank charlie wheatley for not only his advice but putting up with my emails crying about my truck. great customer service. thankyou
