Default i need your two cents

ok I have a 03 rcsb I put a 5.7 ls1 in and all though i havent been to the track I have raced a truck that ran a 13.65 and he had me by a fender on the street.... so he is my question

I would like to get in the low 13's on the motor...what do you guys think I think should do next? I dont have a underdrive pully yet so that will be done soon, also I am still running on a stock tune which will not be for long.... I have thought about heads and a cam..... Also spraying 100 shot through it... my thought is heads and cam and just see where I'm at then if i'm not happy then shoot it with nos. I was looking at a cam like the b1 from MTI
think its a 221/568 on a 114 center.

Note I drive it alot on the street so I dont want to get to wild with a cam.

2¢ There ya go.

But seriously, a set of full length headers and a cam will make a BIG difference with a stall converter too.

The UD pulley is worth about 8-9rwhp and dyno tune should help alot. How about some long tube headers and a converter? These mods should get you low 13s no problem.

Offer BlownChevy 200 shipped for the heads he has in the classifieds section. Throw those on there with a mild cam, say Z06 advanced 4*, along with the UD pulley and the Nelson 93 tune and you should be there. The 5.3 heads will bump the compression and compression is free hp, so there ya go. my .02

i'G GO W/ THE COMPCAMS 212/218 high RPM w/ a set of ported 5.3L heads and some long tubes, if your gonna pull the motor do a 2400-2700 converter if you do a lot of stop and go in the metro area. I know alot of people here run the TT3000 but 2400-2600 would be better in a daily driver and the gain is only like .2 in the quarter and thats only if you'ver got traction. my .02
