Would the bump in compression from 4.8/5.3 heads be worth the swap considering the smaller valves? I know with valves and a good P&P that they are excellent heads--I had been advised to stayt away from them in their stock form though.

I have 241 casting's now I think I'm going to stay with that casting number but get a set ported and polished. "MTI" have a C! cam that looks pretty good what do you guy think about it? its a 222 / 566 on a 112 center...

also how do you adjust the rocker arms? are they just torqued down?

the rocker arms are a net set design the tolerances in construction are so you just torque them down ,although the aftermarket one come w/ varying thickness shims to set them. 222 is alot of duration for a truck w/o a converter. If you are going to be N/A i would go for the compression bump, maybe have the 241 cut when they are ported. most of the ported 4.8/5.3 heads switch up to the larger 2.00/2.02 valves but have the smaller 61cc chambers. I've got a set of stock 5.3's w/ 14K on them in my garage,

best thing to do would be to check in the internal section if your lookin at cams, unless your goin with the common comp 212/218 or 216/220 alot of the guys have experience with
