Default I need to quiet my exhaust without killing performance

I guess I'm getting old. Or maybe just sick of being pulled over.

I have a 6.0 with an original Radix.

Right now I have long tubes with an ORY and dual 2.5 into the biggest Magnaflow X muffler and 2.5 tailpipes. I want to keep the ORY, but add something else to supplement the muffler that won't hurt performance or my wallet too much.

What do you guys think?

Dynomax Bullet is what a lot of people seem to run before the muffler. It's a straight through design so it shouldn't hurt performance at all.

I would look for any straight section of pipe that you can fit a magnaflow and add as much length as possible. Maybe some resonators in the Y-pipe that would double as look-a-like cat.

Do you still have the stock cats? They are pretty high-flow and they will take some of the bark out of your system. You could have a muffler shop weld in flanges in your ORY so you could take them out when you want.

2nd option would be to install some Magnaflow bullet resonators before the tips but that may be a little pricey.

mine has a borla cat back kit with long tubes and ORY and you cant hardly hear it idle with the cutout closed and its very quiet when your cruising. but when i went to the dyno i didnt change hp with the cutout open at all. seems to all work very well. the muffler is 3in in and dual 2.5 out.

I sold the stock y pipe.

I will look into the bullet resonators. Sounds like its worth a try.

I know that you dont want to spend too much (like a new cat-back), but my setup is pretty quiet. It's LTs w/ ory, e-cutout and a gibson swept side catback. With the cutout closed the truck sounds like stock when just crusing. Even if i get on it, it still fairly quiet. This is my favorite exhaust i have owned so far.

I had two bullets on mine to quiet it down, worked for that. I took them off the other day and felt a power increase.
