Default I need an a-ok

Ok, tomorrow I will be buying a 5.7 LS1 motor to swap in my truck. I've decided not to go with the 6.0 route. I've talked to a few guys I know and one of which who has done an LS1 swap in an ext cab truck, you know him as "hyde" on this board although he doesnt post anymore. Question is, once the swap is made, it will fire up and run, but not to its true ability because the PCM will be calibrated for a 4.8 correct? Another question, a 6.0 truck intake will fit on this block correct? One last thing, as far as headers are concerned, would I need to buy truck headers?? I am aware that they blocks are very similar and everything for a truck should work on this motor. Just need some yes's or no's. Thanks guys!

everything you said there is true. use the truck intake, stock programing, truck headers. everything will bolt right up.

San-, You have to use the truck headers to fit the engine compartment.
