i MIGHT KICK MYSELF LATER

Well after hearing my buddies 98z with the same cam and loving the sound of it over and over again i think i am going to go a head and order a gm hotcam. I think i can go with a 3200 stall later and get away with that. The whole kit is $399 and comes with cam, springs, and seats. the cam is 525/525 lift and 219 intake and 228 exhaust dur. on 112 degree centerline. that doesnt sound too bad to me.

Nah...You'll love it and with your Diablo, you should be able to tune it nicely. I like the 112 lsa, that the only way to go IMO. BTW, I have my C1 cam in my shop, waiting on the stall and headwork. It's a monster 222/222 566/566 112

Most of our heads have the one piece seat / seal on the valves like the newer LS1 heads. See if you can just order the cam and springs cheaper.

Greg-that sucker should sing on the rpms. You know when it comes to replace my motor, i might just bore the 5.3 .030, deck the block to zero, drop some good flat tops in it, and put ARP bolt through out the motor. If i can find a good 6.0 i use it. I am gonna put ARPs through out either motor.

I'm ignorant when it comes to cams, but will the hot cam throw any codes and require tuning? Will the power come at low, mid or high rpms? I am still looking for a cam for the Yukon but haven't seen any posts that would be ideal for me. I am looking for a cam with good power throughout the rpm band but more so in the lower end (I may be asking for too much). Also one that does not throw any codes and one that has a good lope to it. I want people to know that there is a cam in there!
