Talking I like the big brown truck....

I ordered a 22 inch Magnaflow to cut down on my exhaust rasp and drone that is occurring since I put on long tubes and an ORY. This will be replacing a 14" Magnaflow. Maybe I'll be able to have a conversation with the wife while driving when this goes on. Maybe I'll need a cutout for when I don't want to listen to her....

Before and after videos to come in the next few days.

Vids have been added below. The 14" muffler is for sale if anyone is interested.

Me too. Esp. when there's a cute female driver. Or I have parts on the way. As a matter of a fact, I had both in the last week, cute driver delivering my parts.

To completely get rid of mine I went with the biggest dynomax super turbo xl that they offer and installed an electric cut out for when the time comes to mess around. It still has a nice subtle tone to it.

I'd love to hear clips of the big case magnaflow and dynomax,

I have bad rasp ( sounds like dual 1.5'' pipes with glasspacks under hard accelleration! LOL) with my summit 3'' in dual 3'' out muffler.

Def need a better muffler soon, like most of you i want throaty muscle car sound with no drone or rasp.

TIM Z, I had a Flowmaster 1 into 2 custom catback made for my truck when I still had cats and stock manifolds. It sounded like you describe soon after the header swap, but I simply cut a small section of the "I" pipe and added a Hooker Aerochamber inline. I originally used a Summit "Bullet" but it was still too raspy and glasspack sounding for my taste. The formally "too loud with headers" catback is perfect now with the Aerochamber inline. Plenty loud at WOT, but only slightly louder (and deeper) than stock at cruise rpm's.

p.s. I like the "brown truck" as well, but for some unknown reason...the wife hates to see it, LOL

Here's the clip of the exhaust with the 22" Magnaflow.

I like this a lot. There is NO rasp and drone is cut down drastically. The neighbors ought to be happy about this. With the exhaust being this quiet, I may be able to surprise some people when I get a few more mods.
