Hey Frank
How you doin'?
11's will be the goal. Going with the 4wd will make it difficult but, I don't think its impossible. Take that 12.88 and add a nice 4000+ stall converter. Shave a few hundred pounds for the difference in motors and transmissions(until the 4L60E blows up ) and it'll be close.(hopefully)
If I can't reach my goal with this motor it'll get a custom intake, solid roller cam, and some better heads **cough cough (GT-2) cough cough**
John
PS - Did you get that truck weighed yet?

I have had my eye on that one for a while now. I was hoping the production SS was going to be something like that. I damn sure would have traded my truck in on one of those.

I think I can get close to 575fwhp out of the motor I'm getting and the block will weigh a bit less than the 8.1 in this truck. Throw a good converter in there and alot of cars will be seeing tailights(for at least 1320ft. anyway)
Now somebody go and do the 4wd to AWD swap so I know what to expect. One good thing is that my mom just got a Denali so I can compare the AWD transfer case with the 4wd unit on my dads 2500HD.
I'm in the process of getting the car ready to go and looking for a nice used truck to commence project "HAULN-U".

I've been wanting to do the 4WD to AWD swap, but there are too many unknowns. Almost every article I've seen about the Escalade and Denali says the AWD transfer case is "electronically controlled". What that involves, and what it means, is a mystery to me. Does it need a new PCM? How many electrical inputs/outputs does it have? Etc.
If anyone has Alldata for an '01 or '02, send me all the data on the transfer case. If it'll bolt up, I'll be more than happy to spend the $$$ to do it.
