Default I have a 5.3, now what?

My big plans involve slapping a turbo-charged 5.3 into my 1992 silverado. I am not very familiar with LS engines, but from what I have read about and found is that 5.3's react to boost better to aluminum blocks.

What I have is a 5.3 LM7 series LS engine. What would you guys recommend as far as heads, cam profile, EFI tuning (edelbrock makes an attractive system), rods, and cylinders. If I missed anything your welcome to add it in. I like to learn as much as possible about what I have.

Welcome to the forum, not sure what you mean about aluminum blocks but stick around, you'll find everything you need here.

Thank you very much. Where would I find some of these parts or who makes them? (The heads, and tuning). Finally if you don't mind, for the life of me I can't find any information on what a reluctor wheel exactly is or does.

It's for the crank shaft sensor. Since our trucks have a distributorless setup, the cam and crank sensors are very important.

You can get a custom tune from one of the sponsors on the right (BlackBear, Wheatley, or Nelson).>
