Well at this point im pretty tired of talking, thinking, and especially working on my truck. As some may know I did the all so common 6.0l swap. It is a profesionally re-built cammed lq4. New stock lq4 pistons, rods, oil pump, comp cam, timing chain, springs, 42# injectors, etc. I have so far broken the motor in with Rotella T 15w-40 for 50 miles and change oil/filter. Im about into 100 miles total on the motor with fresh Rotella T 15w-40.
Still have some issues:
I have zero oil pressure until i crank it over until the 3rd or 4th time once its sputters to a start it picks up oil pressure and idles beautifully with oil pressure sitting at about 40 to 50 and picks up nicley to abot 80 under throttle.
While driving it seems like I hit a dead spot in the motor, around 3000 rpm it hesitates badly, it is very off and on as to when it wants to get moving. It feels just very slugish.
The motor was throwing codes:
P0171 system too lean bank1
P0174 system too lean bank2
P0300 random/multiple cylinder misfire
I got a re-tune from wheatley (very good guy and took care of me with his tune) which fixed the previous codes, this afternoon with the new tune got the code:
P0131 O2S Circuit; Bank 1; Sensor 1; Low Voltage
cleared the code and it has not come back since, but im still having zero oil pressure at starts and a very slugish truck getting through the rpm range. The tranny also doesnt down shift right away under wot if even at all. My truck feels just as slow as my 5.3l and isnt at all the monster i guess i was hoping for.
So i guess my questions would be whats causing my oil pressure not to build right away and could my tranny be taking a **** (again) and causing the dead spots in the rpm range and poor down shifts? the tranny has a transgo hd shift kit, corvette servo, new clutch pacs since last summer, tci deep tranny pan, and a 2800 rpm stall.
thanks to anyone who took the time to read all of this...

Dont know about the oil pressure but on the dead spot my 6.0 did that code with the multi miss fire it was my fuel regular going bad. The way i checked it was the vacuum hose that goes to the top of pull it off when running if fuel comes out then its bad thats how a guy told me to check it. If that checks out check the fuel pressure

0131 code says you have an 02 sensor thats not functioning properly. If the 02 sensors are not working properly that could affect the way your engine runs under load. How big was the cam you installed? 42 Lb injectors seem a little high if its a NA motor. did you install a TQ converter when you did the swap?

I had a 2800 stall tq converter before the swap, its wierd the truck seems to run fine in the morning while the temp outside is still cool it will run through all the gears no hesitation and no codes then park it and drive through town and it throws all the previous p0171 p0174 codes so bought a fuel pressure test gauge and this is what i see

im thinking either my regulators bad or my pump is going bad.....

Pumps probally no good. Should be like 45 or 50 psi at idle. When you pull the regulator it should go rich and increase pressure up wards by 5 to 10 PSI. With out seeing the vehical or being able to work on it make sure the pressure is not bleading off through a stuck open injector. on My 454 suburban i had 3 stuck/ cloged injectors in the closed position. I had to pull them out, and energize them, then blow air through them. the 3 stuck ones had brown deposits around the tiny little holes. carb or break cleaner and air pressure cleaned them right out. make sure you wear safety googles and point away from you... I ended up with one shoting the remaining gas down my shirt. I get you some pic's to night from my truck. I am on my way to work....
