$40,000 is a bit steep for a silverado with a Magnuson

But no doubt people will buy it, so to answer your question:

I'd order a 4.8 with leather, brakes and suspension
A 5.3 RCSB with the works, and then one with JUST the blower
A 5.3 EC with the works, and then one with just the leather, suspension, and brakes

but can someone explain to me how they can warranty the drivetrain with the blower......knowing that the transmission will most likely go in short order? It seems everyone here knows that the 4l60e is the weak link....so do they beef up the tranny at all for these blown+warrantied chevy's? I know its kind of luck of the draw, considering there have been some in the 12s and even 11's with the 4l60e, but haven't some 14 and 15 second trucks blown up these trannys ?

here's what i would want

rcsb base model (if you're a dealership order a few of these with a stock 4.8, pull it and install a 6.0)
cam, maybe the hot cam or LS6 cam for some people
blower (i don't like the magnuson type blowers but if that's what you can get than go with it)
brake upgrade, and some kind of wheels and a 2/4 drop. ofcourse ASM headers and some decent stock style exhaust with cats and a magnaflow exhaust, all from the dealership with a warranty. fur under 30k

What BlownChevy said. My 03 GMC RCSB cost $18,500 out the door. Yea I don't have power windows and cruise, but who cares. It does have a 5.3 and 3.73's. Even if you had somebody do all the work for you, you could add a Radix and all the bolt ons and have money left over. I think ASM offered modded trucks at a much better price too.

5.3 ECSB same but with leather and one without.

The theory behind that would be ... the RCSB one would be more the performance enthusiast minded being lighter and less 'loaded'. The ECSB would be more for the folks with money that want to go fast. Something a bit more classy.
Yea, what he said.

For those of you who say you can build your own for less...the point that was already made was you can just buy it pre-made from the dealership.
I'd say the majority of people would rather just buy a setup truck from the dealership than customize it to their liking...like we do
Plus most people don't know that you can setup your truck/car yourself and come out with money left over than if you had spent it at the dealership.
30K+ is about right..

(To see in person go here...http://www.joegibbsperformance.com/) My dealership is one of the lucky ones to get these trucks. Since I am the resident car nut around my dealership the owner has put me in charge of the whole program. I even have to choose how the trucks are ordered. This is where I am at odds. I would like to get feedback on how you would want one of these trucks if you were buying one yourself. I ordered my first four today. I can't wait to get the first one. I just don't want to explain why they are not selling because I should have ordered a different way.

The different configurations and prices are as follows...
-Reg cab 4.8 V8 / 5-speed std trans $30,150.00
-Reg cab 5.3 V8 / 4 speed auto $34,100.00
-Ext cab 5.3 V8 / 4 speed auto $39,100.00

The avalible options are.....
-Gibbs designed leather/suede seating $1250.00
-Gibbs/Magnuson Superchager which also gives the truck a 5yr/75k powertrain warranty $5100.00
-carbon fiber SC cover $360.00
-Gibbs/Baer brake package $1250.00
-Gibbs suspension package $TBD

So let me have some opinions on how I should order these things.
Just to let you know their is a company out their right now that does offer a similar truck. It can pretty much come anyway straight from the dealership you want. Also it is cheaper. Look into chapman super trucks website. What the factory should have made trucks. They build these trucks with Arizona speed and marine. Also it's faster then the Joe Gibbs truck. 13.4 quarter mile at 101.
