Found a complete intake to oil pan 03 LQ4 with broken #6 rod locally for $350. Has 250K miles and was hydrolocked. I am considering it just for using the block for a 370 maybe 408. Accessories, oil pan, heads, intake, etc will all swap from my 5.3. I am thinking I can sell all that from the lq4 and make some money back. Opinions in this? Is it worth it?

Thanks, is it an OK deal though? What would a 250K bare block run? I'll have the guy confirm that he opened it up. And look inside before buying it I guess is the only way to know for sure.

 

You will have new cylinder walls after machining so you will have a 0 mile block when it's done

Yes the heads are worth 125-225 no problem, not to mention the accessories.
