Hey, i have my idle set at about 760 rpms and it idles great but when you first crank it it dies unles you rev it a little to keep it going. I know theres a startup table, but what do i change to get it to start without gassing it?

Thanks for all the help BTW.

Lowered compression and intercooled!

This is on 93octane gas too.

Before I got the updated tune for the cam ont he 4.8 I was spraying 100 shot with 33* and no KR so there are alot of different variables for each of us.
Hey snake where you running a stock tune before or what? If not Im lost! When are you spraying(rpm range)?

It was tuned with edit at a friends shop in TX for the 225 shot. I was running MUCH lower timing and lots more fuel. It wasnt great for N/A, but it made the 225 shot work better. Before it was programers stacked to run N/A.(HPP3+Jet Stage2)

With HPT there's no comparison.

Awesome link, RGV... thanks... I've been doing a lot of work on my timing table (on marc version 5 right now).

I don't seem to have much luck pushing more than 25-26 consistantly. I've run 28 in the past, but I still get dingers of KR on the radar. I dunno.

Hey, if i am running 32* timing at WOT and my cam is advanced 4* then am i really running 36*?
No, those two are seperate entities... Both are "timing in relation to the crankshaft"... but one being the cam, the other being the spark in the chamber...

Ah I see. So are you going to spray on your current tune. Im telling you for people who are running big shots that Timing Tuner is a must. Have you thought about using one? Around $250+ and you dont have to worry about anything-retards hell of timing when you spray and then it goes back to normal on its own!

That would be cool. I will just keep my current N2O tune and tweak it a little to run at the track. Then i will have one tune to run all out N/A, and maybe a 125 shot around town.

I think i will need bigger injectors just to run N/A because at about 7k it start running really lean and dies when i let off because the fuel pressure is so low.

Maybe Im totally missing something here, but are you saying you're spinning to 7K on stock springs no less?
