How are you keeping under hood temps down?

Good idea, I was also thinking of some type of heat sheild were the intake pipe is close to the exhaust. I'm curious to see how much it will help.

Great idea. I've noticed just driving on the highway my air temp stays about 30-35 hotter than ambient temp.

Its 70 out here today and I temps went up to 100 degrees but got no hotter with the heat sheild.

especially where the filter is right above the exhaust

Looks good, where is that from?
I'm doing this to as much of my exhaust before the turbo as possible, keeps gas velocity high and heat in the pipes!

Looks like a flowmaster exhaust heat shield to me. They're a little pricey.

It will have to wait to be done pretty. I also started wrapping my exhaust up to the turbo with thermotech tape I had laying around from a project I aborted about 10 years ago...lol.

I'l probably eventually rotate the reflective wrap on the intake so the gap is underneath.

you may want to reconsider using the zip ties and opt for some safety wire instead. just a thought.

what the hell is that wicked solid pipe you have going to the turbo? oil i am guessing. why solid pipe, i would be worried about it breaking and draining all my oil out.
