How strong is a 5.3 bottom end?

Yeah I am sure Hyde's prolly went lean and thats why it blew its load through the pan. He was gaining 170hp with a wet kit.

Don't forget, nitrous will give you a giant boost at all rpms, so it is more violent, and stressfull on a motor than supercharging. Even full boost like on the Radix at low rpms is only making so much power until the motor gets into its power band. That is why I don't like nitrous. It puts crazy pressure from idle up, if you run it that way. Ever notice that if you see a vehicle run a certain speed with a certain amount of horsepower that is made with nitrous, compared to a the same vehicle that is supercharged and what not, the nitrous vehicle is usually a bit faster with the same horsepower!?

Don't forget to look at the power band, or graph, not just the total horsepower!
