But, ya gotta pay to play and anything under .600 for lift will be a cam that lasts at least 30k miles without wearing the springs out.

Here is another explanation for comp...

XTREME RPM FOR LS1
Designed with Xtreme Energy™ Technology to provide excellent power with the LS1’s enhanced cylinder head design and high RPM performance. These provide outstanding low RPM torque with increased stability when coupled with the LS1’s larger base circle and 1.7:1+ rocker ratios. High Lift versions are excellent for use with improved heads, manifolds and the new COMP #26915 and #26918 valve springs.

The more lift you have the more air/fuel your letting in. The lower the lift the more economical it will be. If you go with a high lift cam you'll want to change your valve springs.

I'm already probably going with comp 918s, would those last long with a high lift cam?

great choice of cam, my brother has that exact cam but on a 114lsa and its running damn good!! definately go with a 112 or 110, and it should really have all around power plus some lope... my borthers is also an ext cab with 3.42's and it holds its own...

by the way, if you are in the dallas area, you can go to TRTturbo in dallas and im pretty sure they'll can order a custom grind cam...

well if you want lope, then go with 224 on a 112lsa,,, but you'll need a way bigger converter, like 3200+ and 4.10's,,,, but for what you have now you just cant beat the 212/218 on the 112lsa...
