Default How much faster is a 05'SS than an 03'SS?

Just wondering if anyone had any idea how much faster a stock 05'SS is than an 03'SS. It seems every year they get a little more agressive with there tunes and now they have E-fans stock too.

Maybe .2-.3 faster?

I have heard that the 03s were faster, I don't know why just what I have heard. I can't see GM doing anything different. I know mine is faster, after I spent alot of cash. LOL

Only real difference is that the 05's have electric fans, and you can get them with cloth seats so it would be slightly lighter. I think that the 05's MIGHT be .1 sec faster from the factory, but I haven't seen any track times on the 05's yet.

The fans are a good thing, I think the cloth seats are weak. I just can't see any performance difference though.

I test drove an 03' when they came out and was very dissapointed. Maybe I'll go and try an 05' tomorrow and see if its any better.

Then again when i test drove the 03' it was 107* outside. LOL The 15* temps up here may make it quicker.

My truck is pretty much beyond the point of being able to trade in or sell. And my Blazer isn't far behind. I am just looking ahead for what my next buy might be. So far its either a Yukon Denali, SS, or LLY D-max. All of them have there good points and would run close to the same money.

I don't think I would trade Its a tough call about what to buy though. I went from a 2500HD to the SS. I didn't need a big truck anymore cause we got rid of the oval track car. The only thing I wish the SS had was a better trans.

i wouldnt think they are any different other than the fact you dont have to add efans and would gain a little more hp in tuning.

I did notice that my 04 SS has a 17mpg average highway rating while the 05 SS has a 16mpg average highway rating according to the window stickers. Im wondering if this has to do with tuning or maybe the earlier model ratings were just wrong and GM had to correct it for 05.
