Its seems like with the length of longtubes why would they work that good at high rpms.

It seems like headers could only benifit at only one rpm range?

IMO, you should remove all TM.
Get a street tune, much better than a mail order one

not to hijack the thread, but what is necessary for a retune with longtubes? i'm pretty much set on getting the pacesetters with the ORY but will my dyno shop have to put my truck back on the dyno to do the tune or what, all my retuning is free unless it needs to go on the dyno then i need to pay hourly? Dyno time is expensive and i'd rather not pay for it again until i have more new mods.

Yes it is necessary because the truck will be running lean. It will eat up your gas mileage a lot. I know, I went without a tune after installing my Pacesetters and Ory for 2 weeks. And my wallet suffered.

My truck was running great, pre-408, with maxed-out injectors. I then installed long-tubes, and it just killed the power above 3500 because it went so lean. I didn't install bigger injectors with the 6.0, so I don't know how much they would have improved it, a lot I'm sure.
My exhaust is stock besides the headers, with the Stainless Works headers, there is no difference in sound, either out of the tailpipe or under the hood.

I just put some OBX LT's on and took them back off 2 weeks later. It sounded fine at idle and cruise speeds but the in between 1500-2000 RPM was killer on the ears. I couldnt handle the drone so I put a longer magnaflow under and quietened everything down except the drone around that RPM range. So I didnt want to keep spending money on different mufflers so I took them off and went back to the cats and manifolds. I have a one year old also and if it was bothering my ears I am sure it wasnt good for her ears. Performance was definitely unexpected. I didnt think the LT's would give that much noticeable power difference. I will def. miss the power but I will make it up somewhere of buy a set of Dynatechs with the cats built into the system.
