How hard would it be to swap a 5.3L to a 6.0L???
#1
I figured the most cost effective way of getting a little more get up and go from my truck with reliability would be to swap out the 5.3L for a 6.0L. Before I swap in the 6.0L, I am going to install a mild cam and maybe do a stage 1 port job on the heads. I would also do all the bolt-ons i.e. intake, full exhaust, and so on.
Then the 5.3L block use it for my Z28 build up since I am going FI and it is already an iron block.
I am just curious how hard would it be and what all needs to be taken into consideration?

There is plenty of room to work with in the engine bay. A 6.0 swap shouldn't be hard. I definitely think you should do cam / heads on it before you install it. Otherwise, it wont be much better than the 5.3 you currently have in.
