How far can I bore a 5.3?

Default How far can I bore a 5.3?

I dont want to run it too thin on the cylinder walls so any help would be great. <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

I've read of several who have taken it from a 96.01mm out to a 99mm bore. 99mmm is the stock bore of an LS1. If you take it out to this bore, it would be easy to find pistons.

96mm to 99mm,according to my calculations that is .136 thou. thats quite a lot.

Well they are a 3.78" bore now so, there is no way to get to 4", you will just hit the water jackets. Maybe a .030" bore over.
