How do you guys launch your trucks???

I was owndering how do you guys launch your trucks. I was told by the previous owner to go to the 3 and launch it with the tow haul on. Is this correct way. I am wondering because i floored it from a stop and it did not start spinning the tires until the supercharger stated spooling up. Please help me out.

I am about .2 secs slower using the tow haul mode. I put mine in 3, brake stall until the 3rd light and go. I have been cutting .106-.408 RT's. My 60 ft time I just cannot get down. 2.4-2.5 I am not spinning, but at 4000ft I know it is causing it to be a slow 60ft.
Hope this helps.
Just give enough gas to where the tires are about to break loose and you should be fine.

I use D (4) for drag racing. It's not going to shift into OD going down the track anyway. I'd rather have overrun in third and then fourth gear letting off the gas going that fast then have it engine brake. Engine braking at that kind of RPM is not good on rods. For launching I always brake stall it starting with the first yellow and then let it rip on the last one. The Tahoe pulls 2.0 second 60-foot times consistently WITH 20-30 feet of wheelspin.
Here's a demo with some nasty headwind:

I still say dont use tow haul. I run consistantly run .2-.3 sec's slower with it on. That was with 20 runs. 10 with it on, 10 with it off. Could be that it sucks for the 04's who knows. I just havent had any good runs with it on.

I leave the shifter in OD because I use all 5 gears at the race track.
I launch in 4wd and leave two/haul turned off. I ran slower every time with tow/haul on when I tried it. I use my left foot on the brake and spool the turbo up to about 8 pounds of boost and then full throttle and release the brake immediately on last yellow. If I launch off anymore boost, I spin all four tires and the front tends to bounce. I made some "adjustments" to my alignment doing this

I was confused on that so now i will run it with the tow haul off. Thanks for all the help. I noticed last night that i punched it form a stop and i thought that it would go nuts burning the tires and it did not start spinning the tires until the supercharer kicked in. Anway i will get my 13 next time out on the track.

.When i used tow haul it just falls on it's face.but with allen tune shifting me at 5900 compared to 5400rpms when im in tow/haul it's night and day.
