Default How do the car intakes differ from the truck intakes?

I have read many things stating that the truck intakes are not very good over 5500 rpm.

The cars rev to 6500+ with decent results.

Can anyone explain what is different between the two?

Some cutaway pics would be helpful if anyone has any.

The truck intake has longer runners and a smaller plenum than the car intake...it was designed to build torque rather than horsepower, air also has to make more turns in the truck intake as it has a split plenum with a hole between the chambers. The truck intake is also over 3" taller than the car intake.
