There is the perfect truck that this lady has down the street, she never drives it, it's a 2006 rcsb victory red, perfect cond, 4.3 5sp, do a 6.0 swap and the t56 swap is soooo much easier with a manual already in the truck, it's the perfect truck, SS red so just SS bumper and rollpan and toneau cover and it's a real SS.

The LQ4s with the aluminum heads (317s) made 325 hp- Came in the C3s and Denalis and maybe others.

Anyway, i know you can determine which motor from a vin, but shoping for just the motor how can u tell which is which? Is there a block number i should be looking for? If someone could just let me know that would be great, i used to know and had the numbers written down but have lost them

True. If you think you will do nothing to the motor after you buy it, then hold out for the LQ9.
But, If you think you will build it up, then just make sure you get a 6.0l block with the good heads. I don't think you have an FLT 80e for 345hp though.
Buy it-Break it-Build it!
