How to determine 6.0's
#1
I am going to be going to a junk yard and searching for some 6.0's, i haven't decided if i want the low compression 6.0 or the higher one, depends on what i want to build it for. But as i recall, the LQ4 is the 300hp lower compression motor and the LQ9 is the SS 345hp higher compression CORRECT??????
Anyway, i know you can determine which motor from a vin, but shoping for just the motor how can u tell which is which? Is there a block number i should be looking for? If someone could just let me know that would be great, i used to know and had the numbers written down but have lost them

i think my buddy said that this tow truck company his friend has is gonna hook both of us up with SS 6.0's, hopefully for around $500. I'm debating when i get my motor what to do with it, i don't know if i'm gonna put it in my truck, or sell my beast and buy a rcsb. Also, don't know if i want to keep it a 6.0, i really want to do a 408 N/A, but that will take extra coin.

) would be a whole lotta fun in a regular cab truck but having it in your current truck would be great, too! Good luck with your project...I really envy you; I can't wait 'til I can put a 6.0 in my rcsb!
