Question how is this cam for a LQ9 daily driven

This LQ9 is in a 85 SWB truck about 4200#. the engine is otherwise stock with headers and dual 2.5' exhaust. the tranny is a 4l60 and stock converter. I dont mind a 3000 or so converter if needed.

@ .050 int. 220 exh 226
gross int .581 exh .584

on a 113 lobe seperation.

that would be a good cam with a stock or 3000 converter.

I plan to put a 220/224 .551/.551 114 cam in my LQ9 which will be going in my truck which weighs closer to 5k, my converter should be around 3k behind a 6.0, and my truck is daily driven. So I say yes, go for it

That cam with proper tuning will have excellent street manners IMO I'd get some PAC 1518 springs and good hardened pushrods for that cam.

I daily drive mine with a cam near the 230 range with just a yank 3000 which in my honest opinion is too tight of a converter and my truck weighs in around 5300 lbs with me in it and has excellent street manners. Maybe it's in the tune.

I think your truck would drive out well with that cam for a daily driver.
