that would be a CRAZY set up for the track and trust me it has crosed my mind. the truck would look real funny with those tires though. i had 29" tires on my last truck and they were a little too short.

there is a nitto DR that is close to 29" tall, that might be a good set up but i would need rims, maybe i should check into that. i would be done if i did that. probably never have to worry about traction again.

The BFGs may look funny, but they will bump your gearing by 15% and with 4wd you'll probably turn a 1.4sec 60' time. They are streetable enough to drive to the local meeting place in dry weather and nobody will hookup better in a street race, including the one's on slicks.

I agree, 26" on a 4wd will look super silly.

Yeah, but they will only look silly from behind, because the additional gearing will have you in the sweet spot of your power curve in 3rd gear at the 1/8th mile mark with potential for about a 5mph increase in trap speed.

this is a nitto dr size 305/45 R18 110V 6.3 28.78 12.05 9.5-(10.0)-11.5 2337@44 722

almost 29" tall, if i droped it a little more that would look ok.

is there a way to get the rear droped some more? i have the lift blocks removed and shackles. flip kit would be a big drop. how do 2wd guys get a moderate drop?

then i would need to buy rims too but the thought has been swiming in my head. 18's aren't too costly.

That's what I'd do. You can get 18X9.5 forged aluminum rims that weigh the same as stockers.

On my 2wd I drilled a hole 7/8'' higher where the front spring bolt goes thru the I-hanger. There is enough clearance above the spring eye to move it this much which lowers the truck 7/8". I also removed the overload leaf which lowered mine another 7/8".
