Default how bad are eagle GT2's?

i never hear anything good about them but maybe that is because they are usualy on 20" rims?

they sell a 295/65/16 that i think would look prety good on my truck, that is a nice size and about 1.5" more tread per tire.

I have a 17" wheel. They are better than stock, but I wouldn't give them much credit still. They corner nicely, but stright line, they suck. In wet weather, they are flat out dangerous.

I have them on my 20s and theyre not bad, but then again I'm probably not even pushing 300hp so I dont know about traction with your truck - theyre better than stock general's for sure

I have 285/60/16 GT2's on mine. I hook rather well at the track, and on the street. but I am also not putting out as much as you are.
never have had a traction issue with them like the other guys are having.
even stalling up to 2500 with a 2800 vig, I get little to no tire spin.
the few problems I do have are they wear out in the middle faster than the edge do to the fact it is the widest tire you can put on there in a 60 series.
and they do suck really bad in wet weather. If you get on it while it is raining at any speed, you better hold on, it's gonna be a slippery ride.

I ran 275/60-17 GT2's on my previous truck. It cornered great, hooked good, but in the water it was a blast! LOTS OF THROTTLE INDUCED OVER STEER!

I did lots of research before I got my Kumhos and heard very little good about the GT II's. One thing most everyone agreed on (even those who had good things to say about them) was that they were very prone to hydroplaning. I will never have a set of GT II's on my truck, and do what I can to ensure no one I care about gets them either.

I gota say .. I may not agree with Naked's tactics sometimes ... but usually if he says something's bad like that, you can take that to the bank.

i dont care about wet traction, i would run 4 nitto 555r's if they made a size i liked.

i need a set of tires to carry me a little farther than i am right now without spending much money. this is the widest anyone sells.

i wish there was some kind of testing on strait line dry traction for all of the tires.
