Well, the weather was decent. Hot and humid but no wind or rain. Temps were mid 90s and humidity was mid 80%. Tonight I ran the truck with no tailgate, no spare and 1/4 of fuel. Heres the main runs:

60' 2.26
330' 6.36
1/8 9.76@72.95
1/4 15.10@92.01

60' 2.27
330' 6.39
1/8 9.79@72.98
1/4 15.11@92.18

60' 2.28
330' 6.39
1/8 9.77@73.30
1/4 15.07@92.64

60' 2.27
330' 6.38
1/8 9.78@72.87
1/4 15.12@92.15

Best of the night:
60' 2.25
330' 6.33
1/8 9.70@73.64
1/4 14.99@92.78

Eventhough I had less weight by running less fuel and no tailgate, my mph was still the same as the last visit to the track with those items installed. This is a new best for the truck. Next mod will be some e-fans to keep it cooler in the lanes and some shorter tires(31" on it now) accompanied with a 2/4 drop. Then that will be it for me for mods. Just want solid 14s. A 3.73 with a locker may find its way in it eventually to dip into the 14.70s. Not to mention when the fall sets in and temps drop, that should be another tenth or so. BTW, we did have about 4 board members show up and run. They can post their own times here. Later.

14's hell yeah bro!! I want some damn 15.1's!!! One guy out at my track had SCSB w/ FM Dual Exhaust, K&N Gen 2, P&P TB, HPP3 @ 6200 RPMs, JBA Shorties, with 3.42 Posi and 245 50 R16 short *** tires. Remove tailgate & spare. He ran 15.1's at 94's. I do not see why he couldn't do better than that? Congrats to you though Vortech, I hope to get where you are soon.

Thanks for the props guys. I think when I get it dropped and the short 275/55R16(28.00") tires on it, it will leave a little better. The 31" tires I have on it really kill it out of the hole and in the 330'. One of the guys I ran had a EC with all the usual mods only with a 3.73 and he started to pull me in the dead spot of 1st gear and some into 2nd until about the 1/8 when I came around but damn, that flat spot from 1500-3500 is a biatch. I think some short tires and 3.73s would REALLY help that range. Can't wait for the cooler air also. Later guys.

AH Dino, you know what you need to do to get that thing where it should be. Lose the 3-400lbs of BS you have on it, change the fuel filter, get some new rear tires and wait for some cooler air, you will be back where you used to be.

congrats on the 14s alan! quick lil truck u got there

i hit up the track wednesday but ran a damn 16.4, both times i ran i had a 2.8 60ft with 20psi in the tires bogged the first time from too much traction, and the second time i stalled it up to 2700 and SPUUNNNNNNNN from no traction
