How much horsepower and torque can a 2001 chevy silverado 4L60E take before it gives out.

TTT for you. But something rings a bell about 450 rwhp is about all it can handle on a continuous basis. But I just don't remember for sure.

My tranny lasted about 3500 miles before it gave up on me .. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
the engine seems to be holding fine

Is the 4L60E an updated ver of the 700R4 or is it a good old TH350 thats updated with overdrive Ive heard bolth.

700R4 went to 4L60E.
