Default Hooking up Alky. 2 questions

I finally got my alky kit. Where should I hook up the nozzle?? Its either in the rubber elbow right before the TB or maybe take it to an exhaust shop and have them add a bung in the metal pipe connecting the blower discharge to the rubber elbow leading up to the TB.
Second question. I havent gotten the HPTuners yet. I have added headers since my last tune. Does that richen or lean you out?? Since Im adding alky will that make me run too rich even though Im going from about 6 1/2# to about 12#?? I plan on taking to the dyno to do a wideband, but I have no tuning software yet.
Thanks

Up to you really. You coul dstick it in the rubber housing if you can get it to stay. We just punched a hole in my metal tube from the Turbo about 12" from the TB and stuck it in there. Lookskinda ghetto though so if you want a more refined look have something welded in or just try to hide it.

lots of LT1 guys that run nitrous wet kits just plug it into the rubber boot.

As for the headers. I honestly can't remmeber which way it will make you go. I know uncorking exhaust generally tends to make you run richer as does shedding extra weigh because it's less of a load. But i am not sure and don't wanna say the wrong thing.

You want it as close to the blower as possible for more cooling benefit.

I really don't know which way(rich or lean) headers will take you either. If I had to guess, I'd say richer because of less unburned exhaust gas in the cylinder.

Does the kit suggest what GPM nozzle to run?

Thanks guys.
I ordered yesterday. They called me this morning to get hose measurements and discuss nozzle recommendations, but I didnt get home last night until near 7am .
I may drill a hole in the metal piping and have it setup that way. Im sure I could use some extra adhesive or silicone. I may just take it to the exhaust guy and see what he can do. Id like it to look presentable. Im just not too confident in the rubber parts ability to hold the nozzle in there when the boost climbs. I think it would at the very least stretch and maybe tear.

After I get the A/F where I want it, it should remain constant while Im adding in timing right?? I wouldnt mind running a little rich for now. 11-1 wouldnt be too bad right?? I can get it to near 11.5-1 when I get my software and new laptop setup, not sure if I want to go any leaner than that. Hopefully I'll be able to add a few degrees in there too. Do I need to mess VE tables?? All I really need to do is log, get my timing where I can get it and get the A/F right?? If Im not 400rwhp or damn near this thing is going straight to EBAY.

A/F may change a little when you add timing, but not too much. Just stay safe at 11-1 and you should be ok. I haven't messed with VE at all.

Anything else that I should familiarize myself with as far as tuning?? Unfortunately HPTuners wont read an EDIT file, it only reads the PCM. Do you have any idea as to what values I should be near as far as fuel and timing?? I have the 43lb asm's too.
Thanks again bro.

Fuel at WOT is in PE/rpm in edit. Too many variables for that one. Adjusting that is just trial and error with a wideband.

Timing is in, high octane timing, IAT vs load, and a fuel enrichment table. It gets it's final value from all of those. When you get the logging software, we can see where you're at, and adjust those tables accordingly.

Do you think you values are near what mine should be?? Maybe you could send me a clip or file so I can get a real close base to work from.
BTW if you, f8L or some other guys ever come done this way I have a really nice house very close to the beach and we could get the trucks running right!!

Let me mess around with my edit files and see if I can get some screen shots. If you had the edit program, I'd just send you the whole tune. But I think you have to use edit to open the files.

I've been to Florida once and I've got to say, that would be nice!
