holy Sh** i need help guys

Unhappy holy Sh** i need help guys

ight well i was drivin and i dont kno why i jus stopped and decided to do a nuetral drop i dont kno what the **** happin but as soon as i did it the car didnt go anywhere and the transmission made a funny noise i let offfthe gas completly and then put it in park and it made the noise that if ur moving and put it park it makes that clicky noise i was so fucked cause i didnt kno what to say to my parents cause you kno get the lecture(98 gmc jimmy by the way) i was about to call but i was omg i turned the car off and turned it on maybe i dont kno and i was liek im fucked so i decided to put it on 4wd and it worked jus made a funny noise and i was liek holy **** i looked underneth the driveshaft didnt fall off but i think you kno where it connects into the rearend i thing its still connected jus like snapped inside maybe or did my tranny go? i really need help guys im so fucked

based on a lot of thing is the best advise one can give is do everything your parents ask of you,then do more.Sounds like rearend,pinion broke perhaps.

i kno it wasnt smart but how much to fix or would i need a new rear end probaly around 500 to fix?

check and see if it is the rear have a friend (make sure he dont lay in front of the tire)look under it while u put it into gear and see if the drive shaft is spinning and if not it is very safe to assume the tranny is screwed tell your parents that you were driving and the tranny started acting funny and then it just started making the grinding noise

Neutral slams are retarded ....

Sounds like you blew the rear end out. Jack the back up and turn one tire ... the other tire should turn the other way.

unless he has the factory locking differential, in which case they should both spin the same way. right?

No its a limited slip so one will still turn the other way.
