whoa! some of the guys in the driveline section feel i am out of line posting about my tranny problems, i don't really think i was bashing FLP, just reporting what hapened, figured someone might want to know since many of us need or will need a tranny.

i talked to chuck at flp this morning, he is going ut build another one and send it out, told me it would be about a week, thats prety fast and not having to send him this one first will save me alot of hastle. he did't really want to speculate on what may have caused the problem but he did say he has seen 3 bad 2nd gear bands in the last 2 years and that i may have got a bad one, i don't really know what he was talking about but it seems clear he is going to do whatever it takes to get me back on the road quickly.

 

Hey Parish8 - Any updates on your transmission from FLP? Did you get to a Dyno yet?

 

no tranny yet <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> , i have not been posting about it because some people around here seem to take it kind of personal but since you asked. i was givin the impresion i would have a replacement about the 20th, it didn't show so i called, then i was given the impresion i would see it on the 30th, it didn't show. i just sent them an email to get a new ETA but i would bet it hasn't left their shop yet. i hope i am wrong.

i was going to do the dyno thing, i even called and got some prices but i would really like to have a tranny that works so i can get some before and after ET. i may never get to the dyno, it seems like there is always some part i want to wait for.

tranny was put on the truck today, wont have it for the weekend but at least it is on the way!!
