Default Will LS1edit work on the 8.1

Just wondering with the consideration of fuel mileage, can the tables be worked as easy as ls1 stuff. Computer should be the same with different programming. The Marine guys are now saying the 8.1 is their favorite engine. GM has a Factory HO 8.1 with forged steel crank and a nice cam. 496ci !

According to the "latest news" the beta versions of the 8.1L software are being tested.

I don't see any reason why the software would be drastically different than the LS1 stuff but, you might want to email Ken at Carputing to see. He is very good about answering back. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> PCMdoc@surfree.com

If you have an Allison transmission Edit may not be able to control the different functions since I've heard that trans. is controlled by a seperate computer?
