Default help wiring up ls1 fans

We just started wiring up some ls1 fans using the pcm to control them. I was under the impression it was pin 42(blue wire) which provide the ground signal to turn on fans. However, on this 2000 siverado pin 42 is not a blue wire. It's a brown wire. Moreover, on my 02 Sierra, pin 42 is a blue wire. Anybody, seen this before. BTW, ls1 fans are going to be controlled using ls1 edit.

Found this for you tib, http://www.ls1truck.com/howto/pcmfan...ng_frames.html

They are referring to the blue connector, pin 42, not necessarily a blue wire. I'll keep looking.

When we did Chingons efan setup he used the PCM control too but he had to add the wire, not tap into one already there

Mac, I was just reading your post in the search section, lol. I was thinking I haven't seen you on here in a while but anyway I just may not be looking or something. That does make sense too tib. If there isn't a wire to tap into, which is probably the case since its a truck pcm, then you would have to get the terminal for the pcm connector and insert it into the pin 42 spot on the blue connector.
