Default HELP Powerbond pulley

i have a 99 4.8 I'm trying to install a powerbond pulley it says 6.0 lq4 on the box but it should still fit right??? I'm having trouble installing it is there any tip and tricks you guys can help me out with is there a certin pulley installer i have to use thanks in advance

It should be the same for the 4.8-6.0 engines.. You need to take that pulley and stick it in the oven for a little bit to get it hot, or stick it into a pot of hot hot water, so the opening expands, then you need to hurry the hell up and get it started onto the crank.. Do you have the longer crank bolt, to help it pull it on?? The stock one will work, but you MUST make sure you have that pulley started well onto the crank or you could risk pulling threads on the crank..

powerbond pulleys suck! U need a pulley installer from dirt track racer.

According to GM, the stock bolt is a one time TTY bolt (although many have reused theirs before). Considering that a new bolt is less than 10 bux from the dealership though, it's worth it for some cheap insurance IMO.

$4.85 through us, $21.95 for our reuseable....VERY CHEAP Insurance indeed!!!
