Sorry I was referring to the eldelbrock pro flo xt.
Not the Vic jr.

I swapped from a TBSS to a LSXRT and it was a very very noticeable gain throughout. didn't lose any bottom end but gained a lot mid and top end.
I am however thinking of trying out a holley hi rise to see how it compares to the LSXRT

Interesting... I was readying the mid rise actually made more power between 4500 and 6500 rpm.
That the high rise made more power past 6500 which I don't spin my motor past 6500 rpm so the mid rise sound like my ticket.

Curious to why ppl have so many problems tuning the lsxrt??
My local ls shop (Blanchard Performace)
Has a ton of cars come through and 80% of them has fast lsx intakes.
No tuning issue.
So is the issue with the truck intake? (Lsxrt)
I've ran 3 fast intakes (all cars) never had tuning issues .
Must be something to do with the truck style

I also read that about the mid rise, I shift at 6800 and the truck lives most of its life at hi rpm so I wanna try the hi rise
its mainly the LSXRT that has the issues, I believe its due to the material being used along with being so tall that can lead to warping issues

A lot of the tuning issues seems to be with the new bigger throttle body they put on. A lot of people have problems with the fast throttle bodies.

i had a lsxrt and took it to a guy who dealt with TONS of the car fast intakes and we never got it to run right after 4 or 5 tries. He gave up and decided the truck ones just don't tune up. Ended up sending the computer to tsp and swapping in the nnbs intake and it runs like a champ now.
