Default HELP i have a sick HOE

so last week im driving around trying to find a empty parking lot to play in the snow and i get stuck, at a stop sign in 2wd. So i put in in 4wd and pull away but when i push the button to go back into 2wd it just made clicking noises and stayed in 4wd. Now it will not come out of 4wd no matter what i try.. i can hear the electric motor on the T-case moving so i know its working, but still stays stuck in 4wd. i scanned it, gave me a C0323...i dont know what this code is, but once its cleared it instantly comes back and the service 4wd light comes on. so im sure it has something to do with it.
Has ANYONE heard of this before, or have any ideas of what it might be, or what i should do. im lost
oh yea. Its a 2001 tahoe. Lt

The switch in the dash is a common failure, I did mine a few years ago and have read about numerous people having problems with theirs. When I did mine, the part was less than $50 from the dealer, and only takes a few minutes to replace.
