California engine change rules are well defined. If you meet the Gross Weight category and Truck type engine it is fine. I have checked the engine with the referee. It is ok.

The biggest problem was tank conversion. None of the new plastic tank were fitting my frame. I had to use my old F150 steel tank and weld ports for the sender unit from Tahoe as well as vents for EVAP.
