Help!! Exhaust Question
#1
Ok, I order and install a magnaflow muffler, I kept the single pipe exit behind the rear wheel so it looks stock. It sounded deeper, more aggressive. So I figured I would go one step further and remove the cat. converters and now under part throttle acceleration it sounds like someone farting in a barrel or something.
Now for the question: Is there anything I can do to keep it from popping and snapping other than putting the cats back on? It does seem to have a bit more power but it wasn't worth the hidiousness of the sound. Thanks in advance, any info will be greatly appreciated.

I think someone was talking about putting one of those bullet straight mufflers in the place of the cat. Im considering doing that when I get my truck back just to part with it again to have the headers put on. Im curious to see what others have to say.

I ran one of the bigger magnaflow mufflers on the stock catback, with gutted cats and AS&Ms and it sounded pretty good. If I didn't have the exhaust leak it would have sounded better
Then again, I cant remember what it sounded like without the cam

My Nelson tune will be in Monday. I'm going to hold out until I get it in and see if by chance it might make a little difference in the sound although it is unlikely. It has shocked me that it sounds so horrible, it will be parked all weekend because I don't even want to hear it running. At idle and WOT it sounds great but anywhere between sounds pretty crappy
