While driving today I get a low coolant light. I stop and look under the hood and see coolant sprayed all over and look like it came from the passenger side firewall area. Cant tell where the heck it came from????? Please help???

Look for 2 hoses that go threw the firewall on passenger side of your motor.

Yeah it is the right hose going into the firewall, where the hose attaches to the plastic mount it broke off so there is some inside of the rubber hose coming out. How in the heck do I get that round plastic piece off, someone told me a special tool, Is this right and if so what tool. Thanks in advance!

RED2K, you do realize that there are no coolant passages into the intake manifold in an LS1....just like you CAN'T change the lifters without pulling the heads. THESE THINGS AREN'T THE TYPICAL SBC...you gotta remember that. what i'm saying is that there is not coolant coming from the manifold gasket, what you're seeing is coolant sprayed up there from the pump.

It uses a special tool to spread the internal locking teeth inside the couplier.I think Autozone keeps the tool and replacement hose.
