Default HELP with CAI

just got a new K&N CAI after getting it on i noticed that the fan hits it!



do i need to shave the fan down some??? i also noticed that the fan is really far back off the radiator!! guess its time for electric fans!!

that sucks. Either efans or change the coupling, to a shorter one, where the tb and intake meet.

the inlet tube and tb are touching!! i might can cut the inlet tube down some where it meets the TB but really don't want to mess anything up!
what are the best efans to get without having to change a lot of stuff??

wheres the best place to get them? do they plug in directly would i need to get it tuned to work! im very new to chevy's always had an f150 so all advice is appreciated!

I got lucky and found a set on craigslist. Try the for sale section on here and LS1tech. Ebay as well.

I would call K&N. It looks to me like the seller sent you the wrong CAI. The one you have is made for a truck with electric fans. I believe they make one that properly fits your application.

gotta agree with buyamerican, you shouldnt have to modify anything to install a CAI from K&N

Yep you got the CAI for the 05-07 trucks with the efan..Call up the company you got it from and see if they'll send you the correct one
