hey reaper, yes, that is exactly what i want to try. can you send it to me.

cobra99vert@aol.com

i got tired of messing around and just got a new laptop, this thing FLYS, wide screen 5+hour battery, built in network wireless card, and atap is flying but it still shows errors and shuts down or locks up the machine. 2.03 might just be the hot ticket.

I've been running windows XP for a long time and Atap hasn't been an issue. Its funny, but I use the DOS version because it was much quicker to setup and configure. I had problems with the ver 2.0 when it came out and just stayed with DOS. Occasionally, the numbers get whacked, like my RPMS will read 65000, or something. I just close the app, and reload and all is fine.

Jim - How accurate did you say your Gtech was at the track? Did you test it with your recent runs? I'd like to know if mine is way off the mark, or fairly accurate. I do calibrate the axis before I run it.

talked to atap today, they think it is a bad cable. i am well past wrarenty and he sugested i just upgade to the newer cable for $99, was faster and will work for sure. mo money mo money mo money.....

BigTex, i am hesitant to talk about the gtech, i have strongly defended it over the years and this past weekend it let me down. it was almost.4 off , previously it had never been more than .18 off and that i can live with but .4 is geting to the worthless stage. i only calibrated once(twice in the same night) when i first used it. from now on i am going to calibrate everytime i use it and try and get some more track comparisons, i would like to be able to count on the thing. something like 6 months before the track opens again and i will want to get some ET's before that.
